Lake Tahoe's Deepest Scuba Dive - the SS Tahoe Shipwreck
|
|
Lake Tahoe is home to world high altitude deep scuba dives. These deep high altitude technical scuba dives were made to the historic SS Tahoe shipwreck located at 400 plus feet where the water temperature was 38 degrees Fahrenheit. These high altitude dives were a result of years of training and were made using trimix as a bottom gas and multiple different decompression gasses to reach the surface after hours of decompression using specialized calculations and decompression software. This dive was so unique it was even published in England. Photos and video of this remarkable scuba dive are given below. You may also read about it at CDNN and at the Tahoe Daily Tribune. |
